Short Description Maple T.A. is an easy-to-use web-based system for creating tests and assignments, and automatically assessing student responses and performance. It supports complex, free-form entry of mathematical equations and intelligent evaluation of responses, making it ideal for science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), or any course that requires mathematics. To run as a server you must have a fixed domain name and full-time connection to the Internet. 1 MB/sec or better connection is required. For best performance, 100 MB/sec or better is recommended. For those wishing to take advantage of the Moodle integration feature, Moodle 1.9.5 or later is required. Client Platforms and Requirements • All clients require a Java-enabled browser • Javascript™ and cookies must be enabled • Instructors require Java JRE 1.5.0 or later • Students require Java JRE 1.5.0 or later Internet Access You must have access to 56K Modem Dial-up Connection. Broadband - Cable Modem or DSL - Internet connection is recommended for optimal performance. * The MathML question editor is not available on Safari. In order to use this editor on a Macintosh, we recommend that instructors use Firefox when authoring questions. On Safari you can access an earlier form of the authoring environment.
